Mystery Photo Monday #6 – Answer

This week, I asked if you knew where to find this:

This is the boardwalk leading to the Hawkshaw Memorial.  Many of you probably drive by it everyday and have no idea what it is.  I know I didn’t know until we wandered down here to check it out.  The Hawkshaw Lagoon Memorial Park serves as the National Memorial to Missing Children.  It is off of Bayfront Parkway and is just a short stroll from the Veteran’s Memorial Park, which I will write about tomorrow.  If you park near the Veteran’s Memorial Park, you will have to cross the busy Bayfront Parkway.

Learn more about the Hawkshaw Lagoon Memorial Park.

Tomorrow, I will write about the Veteran’s Memorial Park.

Please note that while we were exploring this area, we were approached three different times and asked for money.

You probably drive past this on a regular basis.  You may not have noticed it or you might have seen it wondered why it is there and what it represents.  Do you know?

We hope you will play along!  If you know where/what this is, leave a comment in this post.  I will post the answer tomorrow!

Mystery Photo Monday #5 Answer

That is right!  Everyone guessed the correct answer!  These flags can be found at the USS Kiddie Hawk at the Naval Aviation Museum.

This is a great addition to the museum, especially for those of us with younger children.  When it is raining the kids can run some energy out and it is a great space for imaginary play!  For more information, check out our visit to the Kid’s Carrier.

Yesterday, I asked if anyone knew where this photo was taken:

Our one and only guess by Shawn was correct!  It is the boardwalk down at Milton Riverwalk Park!  I will be writing about our little adventure here later on this week.
