Miralla Park

What: playground; Where: 650 Connell Drive; Cost: FREE

After a very inexpensive and fun lunch at Georgio’s Pizza on Sunday, we decided to try out a new-to-us park.  I did a quick Internet search on my phone and found that Miralla Park was right down the road.  What a great park!

As we pulled up to the park both of our kids immediately spied the dragon, which is a fairly new addition according to Play Pensacola.  Besides the dragon, there is a play structure meant for older children, one meant for younger children, and half a dozen swings.  There is a baseball field and a basketball court as well as plenty of space to run around and play.  There are a number of benches for parents to sit and watch their kids play and a walking path for either a nice walk or bike ride.

Things to Know Before You Go:

  • There are no bathrooms at this park so make sure the kids use the restrooms before you go!
  • The park is located in a neighborhood and parking is on the street along the park perimeter.
  • If you are planning a picnic at the park, bring a blanket.  We didn’t see any picnic tables, just benches.
  • We didn’t see a drinking fountain (there might be one but we didn’t see it), so bring a bottle of water or juice boxes for when you are finished playing.
