55 Days of Summer in Pensacola

Escambia County School District is out of school for the summer next week and Santa Rosa County is not far behind. If I counted correctly, we have 11 weeks of summer before school starts back up again!  With the help of my kids (and my pal Lisa for the suggestion), we created this list of 55 things to do this summer. Why 55? This gives you one activity for each day of the week with the weekends off!  The list includes adventures around town, day trips, and things you can do at home.  Lots of the items on the list are free activities and many just cost a few dollars.

We will continue to share our adventures here, both from the list and some that we come up with as we go.  I am bringing back our Summer Road Trip Celebration and I will be sharing some recipes and crafty ideas that we try as well.

There are three ways to print this list: 1) The easiest way to print out the list is to click on this 55 Days of Summer with PWK link. It will open a window with the link. Click on the second link and it will open the list in PDF format.  Print  2) Click on the photo below.  It will open a window with another photo.  Click again and print.  3) Print this post.

Here is our list! What should we add?  About halfway through the summer, we will try to compile another list for those of us who might work our way through this one quickly!

  3. I will definitely share this… I love the suggestions — and the checklist, totally my style! 🙂 I do have a question tho — where is “Pensacola Snow” (and… is the “snoball” the kind with ice cream inside?) As always… thanks for all your hard work!! 🙂

  4. Katie-I don’t know if they have the option to put ice cream in it but the New Orleans style snoball is the super fine shaved ice…so good!! They are located in the Wing Zone parking lot on 9th Ave. I have a review to post but haven’t finished it up. Hopefully will post by next week!

  5. Cheryl-Thanks for the kind words! Rona-Thanks!

  6. I appreciate all your hard work. You make our life so much easier. It is so nice to be able to come on your site and just see in one place what’s going on in town that’s family friendly. Your site is so informative and helpful. I love the check list. I’ll be sharing this on both my FB accounts. Thanks again! 🙂

  7. I LOVE IT! You did an amazing job on the lists!
There are a few more I am going to add to my list!!
As always Jennifer, you rock!! Now if we could only make one of these days correlate to both of our schedules! LOL!
    Lisa

  8. Thank you for this list. I’ve lived here all my life, and have never done a few of these things myself. I’m looking forward to using it this summer. I’m a regular follower here, and I appreciate your time!
