That’s right, folks…a real pumpkin patch in Pensacola where you pick the pumpkin! According to the person I have been in contact with at Holland Farms, “it will be a patch where you go out into the field and pick out your own pumpkin” and I am so very excited!
This is the first time that they are doing this so be patient with them as they open up this weekend and continue to work out the details! As of the latest email I received, opening day will be October 2. I did notice on their website today that it says the pumpkin patch will be open October 1 (ALWAYS CALL BEFORE YOU GO!). They will be open seven days a week and the hours will be Mon-Sat 8am-6 pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm but be sure to confirm the hours before you make the drive out there. They are also planning on having other activities like hay rides and hiking trails will be available.
Holland Farms is also a peanut farm! Stop by to buy a cup of boiled peanuts or purchase some roasted peanuts.
If you go, let us know what you think. I am going to try to make it for opening weekend to check it out, but I am not sure if it will happen!
Holland Farms is located at 2055 Homer Holland Road, Milton, FL 32570. Their contact number 850-675-6876.

Oct 1 4pm Orange Beach Art Center is having free build your own scarecrow contest with pumpkin painting and bonfire for hotdogs and marshmellows.
We went to the pumpkin patch today after the corn maze and had fun. It’s $5 to pick your pumpkin out of the patch, and it includes a hayride. They also had a band playing today and free samples of hot boiled peanuts. I got some great fall time pics, which is hard to do in florida.
We had a wonderful time. The boys loved picking their own pumpkin, (and what a fantastic price of $5!)
The staff was friendly and fun. Great place! We’d recommend this for sure! Two thumbs up!
Thanks so much! Your website is great!!!
We have waited 6 years for a pumpkin patch like this, since we’ve moved here! Finally!!! It is GREAT! The kids Loved it and many great pictures. Big patch w/ tons of pumpkins to choose from. $5 includes your choice of a pumpkin and a hayride! The hayride goes fast and bumpy thorough a section of the woods,my kids LOVED it!! The hayride is $3 if you just want that and no pumpkin. Free boiled peanuts!!! What a GREAT start to your October traditions. Beautiful, long drive through the country!!
Are they doing this again this year? I looked on their website but couldn’t find any information. I would love to go with my sorority because we all want to carve pumpkins together!!
Hi Kristina-They are opening up again on Oct. 1, 2011. I will be putting up information about it next week!
