Infant Swimming Resource – Pensacola, Florida

With summer drawing near, we are thinking about the beach, the pool, and the river!  We spend as much time outside as possible during the summer but this mama prefers it to be next to a body of water so that I can tolerate the humidity!  Water Safety is very important when you and your children are near water of any kind.  A few weeks ago, I posted a list of places to take swimming lessons.  I have also been following Outdoor Gulf Coast’s Water Safety series: Part 1 – Pools; Part 2 – Beaches; and Part 3 – Rivers

When my children were infants, I had heard about Infant Swimming Resource from friends who lived in another city.  I was interested in checking it out but unfortunately we didn’t have an instructor in our area.  A few months ago, I met one of the two instructors in Pensacola now.  They are currently registering for classes.  ISR teaches children as young as 6 months old how to save themselves if they were in the water alone.   They have a video on the website of a young child demonstrating ISR and you have to see it to believe it.  For more information, visit Infant Swim Pensacola.
