Tippin Park – Pensacola, Florida

Tippin Park is located off of Tippin Avenue and John Carroll, near 9th Avenue.  The park has great playground equipment-lots of slides, swings, monkey bars and other great things to climb on.  There is a lot of shade and some picnic benches so you can get comfy while your kids run around.  There is a large field where the kids could play soccer or baseball.  A few of the cons: There is a ton of shade but it isn’t over the top of the playground equipment.  The playground is made out of that plastic material so it gets HOT!  There are no bathrooms available.  That being said, it is a great park to visit.  We love to stop on the way home from the mall after we have bribed them with a trip to the park during the shopping trip!

  1. Update: 7/30/13

The trees have grown a lot since the above description. Other than one piece, all of the equipment is shaded now. That piece is shaded about 70% of the time.

Lots of trash cans and about 8 picnic tables, but still no water or bathroom facilities. For a public park, overall, it is pretty nice and kept in good condition.

  2. Thanks for the update, David!
