Sunday Show and Tell – First Friday Nights in Downtown Milton

I met Amy on the Pensacola Moms Like Me site…her post caught my eye because she had so many great ideas for activities in and around Pensacola.  Of course, I thought that she would be perfect for our Sunday Show and Tell!  This is the first of two different articles that Amy has written for us.  I hadn’t heard of First Friday Nights so we are going to add this to our list! It looks like First Friday Nights are on the first Friday of every month except for December.  Thanks so much for sharing, Amy!

We went to First Friday Nights in downtown Milton. Milton has SO much potential, we just need to show some love and show up! First Friday Nights are put on by the Mainstreet Milton group. All of the shops downtown stay open late, there are street vendors, tons of food options, old cars showing off, drawings for prizes. This week there was a sidewalk chalk drawing contest and usually there is live music. The Liberty is our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place to eat! Most every meal is under $6.50 and made to order. You’ll be welcomed by the sweetest women and reminded of simple Americana. If you go, tell them Lilli sent you to get a cookie :) They’ll know exactly who you are friends with. We ended the evening with feeding the ducks at Carpenters park just up the road. If you don’t know about Carpenter’s park then it is worth the drive, bring some bread, your fishing pole, lunch and sunscreen. (there aren’t any trees near the playground equipment). It is peaceful. My best advice is go early in the morning or later in the afternoon.
