I met Amy on the Pensacola Moms Like Me site…her post caught my eye because she had so many great ideas for activities in and around Pensacola. Of course, I thought that she would be perfect for our Sunday Show and Tell! This is the second of two different articles that Amy has written for us.
The Fountain Courtyard At Plaza De Luna at Palafox Pier

Every Thursday afternoon the City of Pensacola is going to turn on the fountains so the kids can play. We were out there for an 1 hour and 15 minutes, which as you know is a very long time for an 18 month old. It was great. All the kids were running, jumping, and playing in the water. There is a nice wall for parents to sit and monitor the kids just a few feet from the “splash zone.” When we were out there, a band came and started playing which just added to the fun. There is also an open grassy area that kids can run and play in, it would be perfect for flying a kite or a picnic. From the fountains, we did a quick outfit change and then off to Music in the Park at Seville Square. The key to this is to get there early enough to get a seat near the stage so you can see all the dancers and join in with the fun. Make sure to bring Bug Spray and an umbrella and lawn chairs. Music starts every Thursday night at 7 but people start arriving around 5. I’m looking forward to attending as many Thursdays as my schedule will allow this summer.
