Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida

A few weeks ago, we had a few hours to spare so we headed to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida Annual Baby Shower.  I am so glad that we did!  The event was free and they were accepting donations as “shower gifts” for the sanctuary.  Big S was very proud of his peanut butter purchase!  The Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida is a refuge for animals who are injured in the wild.  This is the first time we have been here, but we will definitely be going back this summer.  We saw many different types of owls, Bald Eagles, baby raccoons and opossums.  We also got to feed the brown pelicans real fish!  Because it was a baby shower celebration there were lots of vendors and booths set up; however, you can visit the sanctuary Wednesday through Saturday from 12noon to 3:30pm.  You can get a guided tour by appointment if your group is larger than 15 people.  The cost is $3.00 a person for group tours.  There is a wish list posted, so when you stop by be sure to bring one of the items to donate.
