Bayview Park

I have lived in Pensacola for 13 years (for four of those I have had kids!) and I am ashamed to admit that I have never been to this park before!  We went for a birthday party and I was amazed at the play structures.  There are two large play structures that are perfect for toddlers and still offer a challenge for the big kids.  Little S (who is 2) loved the fact that she could run, climb and play without our help.  The park is set by the water and offers a beautiful view.  There are open places to run around or play a game.  There is also a great dog park.  The kids will love to watch the dogs run around and play with their doggy buddies!  There are lots of shady areas, picnic tables and a spot to rent out for a large party.

  1. This is a wonderful, big park. The kids loved it. A word of caution, though. A man was leaving the fenced in dog area, and he told me to get my kids away because his dog bites. Another man was letting his 3 dogs run around the whole park chasing squirrels. I wasn’t too comfortable with the whole dog element of this park.

  2. Julie–You are right…my kids were definitely not thrilled with the dogs running around but that is because we don’t have any pets so the sight of a huge dog running around scares them! When we were on the playground, we didn’t have any issues with the dogs that were running around though. Hopefully the majority of the people keep the dogs on leashes or confined to the dog park section which is gated in.
